Was Lautaro Mesa at Barood בארוד a mag?
Absolutely delicious food, especially the fried eggplant. A lovely location tucked into an alley that's easy to miss, but the service, food, and magical uplight seating outside was well worth it. Four of us suarwd about 6 starters and left full. View all feedback.

Great experience in the heart of Jerusalem. Great selection of food and drink, fresh and delicious. The staff is incredibly accommodating. The decor demands your attention with it's nostalgia and kitsch. Drop by, relax, and enjoy the moment. You won't be disappointed.
Next to jaffa street there are many small restaurants of different quality and style: pubs, Japanese and elegant restaurants. Perhaps the most attractive and welcoming among all is barood, a small bar, in which jazz notes are often spread on the very popular street, especially among the people of the area, barood, elegantly casual, serves Mediterranean cuisine made with creativity and elegance, without failing to be faithful to the Sephardic tradition, accompanied by local and foreign wines chosen with great care. the only problem, within an expensive country, is the normal price for the premises (which means about 40 euros per person). It is not kosher and is also open Friday night, when in the rest of the city it is almost all closed by the Shabbat. you have to take it into account why the places where dinner are very few this day.
Barood! I used to be a regular. Wonderful place, great atmosphere, drinks from all over the world, Sephardi cuisine. Greetings from New York! Next time I come I'll bring my son Yonatan and all the waitresses will be in love with him. L'shana ha ba'a b'Barood!

The best place in Jerusalem. Really, you won't regret. Personal, cozy and friendly. Don't forget to leave space for the Malabi it comes with homemade apricot jam, made there, and it is just perfect! And Daniela... well, just go there and you will see. Magic.
Great music, cold beer, and the foodoh, the food! They make everything themselves, including the desserts—which is rare these days. And the cheesecake in the photo? It didn’t upset my stomach, which is also rare these days. I usually try to avoid desserts that aren’t homemade. The tastiest shrimp in the country, the famous Boyikos did not disappoint: crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Every bite was a delight! We sat inside, but on a warm summer night in the Feingold Courtyard, Barood’s tables were full—even though the city around was empty because of the war From the staff to the food, the atmosphere, the music even the bathrooms there are an experience The evening in Barood reminded me just how much I love this place—and Jerusalem—thanks to places like this. There’s a bomb shelter, so you’re covered! Service: Dine in Price per person: ₪200+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
All the dishes we had were amazing! Such unique combinations and spices. Obviously the desserts were excellent as well. The waiter was wonderful and his excitement about the restaurant and the food preparation process was very noticeable and appreciated. Expensive but worth it.
