Great little “home style” cooking place tucked away at the basement of a classic Ginza building. Very popular with GINZA club hostesses and their clients. The food is hearty and excellent and made to be shared and eaten casually no stuffiness here. The nihonshu list is just the right size and has options for every palate from very dry to sweet. The mackerel wrapped in a deep fried wonton skin is a delight. Be sure to save some room and get the potted rice with pickles and some miso soup towards the end of your meal, you won’t regret it. The restaurant appears to attract a professional crowd — even during dinner, nearby tables were occupied by people working on laptops, which shaped the overall atmosphere and does not match the image the restaurant portrays on social media. The staff were attentive and doing their best, however, the food was neither inspiring nor did it justify the price. Price per person: ¥7,000–8,000 Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 1
