Chicken Tikka Masala Recipe

First, mix together yogurt, garam masala, paprika, black pepper, salt, cayenne pepper, and coriander in a big bowl. Toss in the chicken strips and let them hang out in the fridge for a couple of hours. Then, get the oven nice and hot at 450 degrees F (230 degrees C) and grease a baking sheet. Lay out the marinated chicken strips with some space in between, and let them bake for about 10 minutes until they're cooked through.

While the chicken is baking, heat up some vegetable oil in a skillet and toast cumin seeds until they smell good. Add some chopped onion and cook until it starts to soften. Mix in garlic, ginger, and green chiles, and keep cooking until everything is nice and browned. Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, and water until it all starts to come together. Season with more garam masala, coriander, and turmeric before adding the cooked chicken and some cream. Let everything simmer for 10 minutes, then season with more salt and top with cilantro before serving.

There you go, that's the fancy dish she saw on TV and made me cook. Back in my day, we were happy with a simple grilled cheese sandwich!.
