This restaurant always serves the freshest seafood. While it may not be cheap, the quality is top-notch. You definitely get what you pay for, making it good value for the freshness and quality of the seafood. As a coeliac, takeaway food is hard to find so when 98fish opened with amazing gluten free fish and chips, I could hardly get through a week without visiting. It was fantastic for years but recently I have had to put my fish and chips...in the bin. Non existant or soggy batter, lukewarm chips and half the size. The last time I went, I spent all afternoon in the toilet afterwards, consistent with cross contamination.... View all feedback.
The crumbed cod and chips were fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed the generously sized piece of fresh cod. There was a great variety of fresh fish, prawns, and crabs on display, although we didn't purchase any, many others did.
The calamari at this restaurant is the best we've had in Queensland. The chips were average, but the prices were reasonable.
