Their dining room service is exceptional. The hostess greets guests like they're eating at her own kitchen table. Service is attentive and dignified. Food came out promptly. The grilled pork chops were absolutely delicious. On the other hand, I've had their catering service numerous times and it seems more mediocre and definitely falls in the range of generic Southern cooking. At work, after being more or less the default caterer for company meals, employees eventually ask for something different from Something Different.
Four of us went out for lunch, and we had a wonderful experience. The food was exceptional, and both the waitress and the owner were extremely friendly.
The strawberry shortcake, beef liver, beets, and sweet potatoes were fantastic! The waitress was wonderfully attentive too!
The owner personally stopped by to talk with us and asked about our experiences both in the community and at the restaurant. She appeared to be truly interested in our feedback, rather than simply focused on making money.
The pork chops at this restaurant are consistently fresh... I'm not entirely sure what that really means, but that's what the hostess keeps saying to everyone.
