Dockside Willie’s Bar Grill! A small, friendly, cozy restaurant overlooking the beautiful Colpoys Bay escarpment. Fully licensed, with a beautiful patio. Open year-round. Please note that we are located in Wiarton, Ontario. For our updated COVID-19 takeout hours, we are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. On Wednesdays, we are open from 11am to 7pm, on Thursdays from 11am-2pm, on Fridays and Saturdays from 11am to 7pm, and on Sundays from 11am to 2pm. Dockside Willies in Wiarton offers a nice outside patio spot to enjoy the view of Bluewater Park and the waterfront. While the interior is not as impressive, sitting outside is definitely recommended, especially during beautiful weather. The menu offers basic options like burgers, wings, nachos, and more, along with various drinks. The nachos were a perfect size for one person and the wings were good, though the drinks were a bit lacking in alcoholic content. Some diners experienced slow service and unsatisfactory food, but for many, Dockside Willies provided a decent place to relax and refuel. Overall, the restaurant seems to be hit or miss with some enjoying the food and atmosphere, while others had a less positive experience.
Unfortunately we received poor customer service here. We had ordered takeout and while we were waiting it started to rain so we asked to be seated inside. First they said there was no room which was not true as there were at least three tables available. So I went inside and a young lady said she would get a table ready for us. Then she came back and said the manager advised her that table was reserved for another party. So we ate outside in the rain and did enjoy the food. Too bad the service was horrible. I called the manager and let him know and when he again said the table was reserved I advised him we would have had time to eat there and that I didn't really think there was a reservation at which time he hung up on me. Do not bother with this place unless you like bad management. The young lady and young man I spoke to were both polite and management was trying to make them deal with the situation. Disgusting!
Group of 6 - 3 ordered fish & chips, 3 ordered burgers. Burgers were extremely messy - really overloaded with condiments. Fish was thin & soggy, fries were cold & hard. Service was very slow and staff did not come back to check quality after the plates were served.
Excellent food, menu was great. Cheerful friendly and efficient service. Service with a smile even when exceptionally busy with summer visitors.
We stopped in for a quick lunch, and I ordered the fish and chips. It was absolutely delicious! The service was excellent, parking was convenient, and the beautiful sunny weather made it even better. I can't wait to visit again!
I ordered takeout to pick up on my way to the cottage, and as always, the fish and chips were incredible. The portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable! The preparation and service were quick. I would highly recommend this place!
