We wandered into El Portal, on the square in Valle, after a restaurant we had tried and liked on a previous trip was closed. We were pleasantly surprised! What User doesn't like about El Portal:
This eatery has a balcony overlooking the plaza, the zocalo, the cathedral, the main part of town. It's quite nice, you're under cover but can see out over everything. The service was fantastic, very attentive and friendly. The food sucks though, frozen veggies, soggy fish, grey meat that was overcooked and underseasoned, the soup was good, but I did find a hair in it, may have been my own, who knows? Beers were cold...
