Panera Bread's menu was overpriced and the food quality was disappointing. The bread was so hard it felt like it could be used as a weapon!
Troy really needs a Panera that is open to everyone. I attempted to place an online order for pickup, but I was informed that it's only available to RPI students. Is there any possibility of obtaining a discount on school taxes for buying from an already overpriced chain that limits sales to students?
The food at Panera Bread is about the same quality as other locations, but their order accuracy is only around 50% for me now. I usually order the same two items, and out of the last five visits, they’ve gotten both orders right only once.
The bread is excellent, but make sure to arrive early as they usually have plenty available at that time. However, by the afternoon, it can be hit or miss. There can also be occasional problems with the ordering pads being out of service. Additionally, the software sometimes removes items from the menu unexpectedly, so you may need to ask for them manually.
Generally high priced offerings for what you get. They also always seem to be out of something whenever I go there, such as the pickled onions or bread... They're Panera BREAD, how do they run out of bread on a regular basis?!
