We wandered along the main street in Trapani debating where to eat last place we came to was Loggia 66 so we went in we had such a lovely meal it was truly a fabulous experience service was great very well looked after and the food was amazing
We where a group of 7 people and had troubles finding a place. The great staff at Loggia 66 quickly put together a table for us. Simple menu with interesting dishes. The drowned octopus was fantastic.
Stopped in late in the evening, perhaps around 9:30 pm, as we were exploring Trapani. Ordered a carafe of house red, a stater of the last order of mussels (a little salty, but we found that to be the norm in Sicily), and a primi piatti of house made pasta filled with ricotta, with some grilled eggplant on the side. All wonderful! Highly recommend. Wait staff incredibly friendly and helpful.
A couple of little things could make a big difference to the customer experience at this place. First thing to note is that they do not provide a menu in English or any other language. Ok that’s not a big deal, after all we’re in Italy, but it’s sets a tone. Luckily I can speak and read Italian, but it was inconvenient for my wife who can only speak English. So I guess they’re not interested in pleasing tourists. But there were other things about this place which left a bad impression. The service was apathetic, it was almost as if we were a nuisance, we didn’t feel particularly welcome. As for the food it was underwhelmingly average. It was also a bit pricey for what you got. €5 for 1 litre of mineral water gives you an idea of what’s in store. Would I recommend this place? Not really.
