Was Camilla Kunze at Ryan's Bar a mag?
A Sydney legend, you haven't experience the city until you've been for a drink at Ryan's Bar on a Friday eve. A prime watering hole, filled with corporate types but great vibes in the warmer months with the open air atmosphere Drinks aside they also smash out a decent pub style lunch with a range of specials. Still one of my favorite schnittys in Syd, and I would kill for the DIY pulled pork tacos to make a return! G... View all feedback.
What Wilfred Tromp dislikes about Ryan's Bar:
the place closes by 10 o'clock and not by midnight. I was there yesterday and didn't know that the internet believed it would be open until midnight. After the order, I miss all I had ordered to 9:45 sharply, they started throwing you out. it felt somewhat irrational and hard when at least they could wait until 10 until we are finished and then start the winding process. another thing they could do is to update at le... I ordered a pulled pork burger with chips and as i was taking my first bite of the burger i felt something not quite right in the texture of the food so i pulled out the food from my mouthful and then i was absolutely shocked and disgusted to realise in between all the food that i was also actually chewing on some thin plastic (looked like a very thin, broken piece of plastic cup or something similar approx long roughly) i was absolutely horrified, have never ever had anything like this happen to me in my life, I complained to the staff and manager, took my food back got a refund and will never ever eat from there again i have eaten quite a few times from there in the past never had any issues previously but never again, please BE WARNED!!!!!!! DO NOT VISIT THIS RESTAURANT!!!!!!
Very very messy/dirty environment. Broken glass and dirty glasses all over the tables some even had left over drinks or cigarettes floating in them. However this place has a good vibe full of corporate and professional people. Along with being able to openly look at the sky. We ordered just the basic drinks- vodka soda lime and gin and tonic because there was no menu at the bar so we couldn’t choose any wines.
I ordered a drawn blackburger with chips and when I took my first bit of the burger, I felt something not quite right in the texture of eating, so I pulled the food out of my mouthful and then I was absolutely shocked and disgusted to see between all the foods I actually chew on some thin plastic (picked like a very thin, broken piece)
$10 Steak Mondays are great, Pizza is also good I would recommend chorizo: Will a little crowded by 5 6:30 in summer, but great any time outside...
