The restaurant offers authentic Pad Si Ew that is even better than what some Thai food vendors in Thailand sell. The Tom Yum soup is said to be good, although the seafood tastes like frozen food. The red/green/Penang curry has a good taste but cheap thigh meat is used, resulting in a lot of wastage. The service is described as brisk and efficient. The restaurant offers a before 12 pm and after 2 pm special for $6, which includes rice with up to three choices of extras. They only accept cash, but considering their low prices, it is acceptable. Customers enjoy the Veg Fried Rice With Honey Chicken dish and find the portions to be massive and affordable. Overall, it is a decent option for cheap Thai food in the area.

Was Eatwithmyfoodsafari at Mr Bee a mag?
A decent Thai takeaway. I usually don't go for Bain Marie style food however the price was right when I went to get a late lunch. They offer a before 12pm and after 2pm special of $6 which includes rice with up to three choices of extras like meat or vegetables. They also only accept cash but considering their prices that was perfectly acceptable. br/ br/ I had a Veg Fried Rice With Honey Chicken. It was tasty as ha... View all feedback.
What shinraemonsam dislikes about Mr Bee:
This Thai restaurant in the CBD is quite average. It feels more like it belongs in a food court rather than having its own standalone shop. They offer a selection of Thai and Chinese dishes, and the portion sizes are generous considering the prices. They also have a very affordable deal during off-peak hours before noon and after 2pm. However, the quality of the food is questionable, especially when it has been sitti... View all feedback.
I tried Pad Si Ew. It's authentic and even better than that sold by some thai food venders in Thailand. My friends also tried Tom Yum soup and said it was good. The shrimps and squids taste like frozen food though.
Cheap Thai food on Hunter Street. They give massive serves that only cost $7.50 for one choice + rice, then $8.50 for two choices. Clean, fresh and lots of selections.
Fantastic and cheap food! Very quick, fresh, and clean with kind staff. Their Thai tea is a must along with their tofu basil. I have returned to this place many times over the past couple of years and have never been disappointed!
So happy to find this place in the busy crowded Wynyard area. Hot hearty lunch comes with a decent price (reminder: CASH ONLY for those who haven’t been , $1.5 extra to get a cup of Thai milk tea/lemon black tea, love the refreshing drinks with cheap freshly-cooked dishes. (Ordered the Pad see ew and the serving size surprised me a little, most of the Thai places I’ve been to aren’t as generous. Some staff are very friendly and there are always spots to sit if you don’t feel like take-away.
