Chalk is hands down the best cafe in Maroubra! The staff are friendly and welcoming, the coffee is great, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the food is delicious. It's my favorite treat on weekends. Thank you, Chalk!
I had a wonderful experience at this cafe with attentive and friendly staff. The cozy atmosphere with unique decorations and tasty food made it a memorable visit. I highly recommend trying the guacamole toast with feta and a poached egg - it was delicious, satisfying, and reasonably priced. The coffee was also excellent, making this cafe a must-visit.
I really enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. I ordered guacamole with chimichurri, poached egg, and feta, and the flavors were fantastic. I would definitely come back for this dish. My partner had a bacon egg roll, which he found quite tasty with a generous portion of bacon. The two of us had breakfast, including two coffees, for only $27, making it a great value. The only downside was that they used empty gin bottles as water jugs, which gave the water a slightly off taste. Overall, I would highly recommend this place, despite this minor issue.
Asked the server what he would recommend and he suggested the corn fritters. I'd never had corn fritters before, but these were wonderful. Kind of like pancakes. Avocado, bacon, tomatoes, and a poached egg to top it off!Insta: @voraciousventures
