The prices... read more November 2023 Update: Six years ago, I rated this restaurant five stars. For over thirteen years, it was one of my favorite places to eat in Sumter. The prices used to be quite reasonable, and the food was excellent. However, things have changed drastically. The prices have risen significantly, while the quality has declined sharply. The hibachi chicken I had tonight was bland, tasteless, and disappointing—it certainly didn't meet the standards I remember. In the past, they provided generous portions of chicken and mushrooms with the rice, but that's no longer the case. It's disheartening to see another beloved spot go downhill.

As an African American woman with a child, we went to eat on a Sunday night and felt completely ignored. All the other tables were served and checked out before we were even acknowledged. It felt like the staff was hesitant to approach us, let alone serve us. One person asked if we wanted drinks but never returned, so we had to call another server to take our order, and she was no better. They weren’t even busy at the time. They seem to prioritize their service based on who they want to help. The rolls were just okay, especially considering the poor attitude from the staff, and as minorities themselves, I just don’t understand it. The cashier's service was even worse when it came time to pay. I will NOT be coming back. Parking: Forget it.

Carpet stained and window sill needs to be cleaned. For was good portions for cost. Sushi was not the best presentation or taste. Have had better from Publix. Server had to be called back several times for drink refills. Will do for a quick Japanese fix.
