What Zachary Dupree dislikes about Devoted:
I am truly surprised that this place has a 5-star rating. I'm not someone who tends to complain, nor am I an overly critical person—I'm just a casual diner who doesn't usually have high standards. However, this was the most flavorless ramen I've ever encountered. The broth tasted more like salt than anything else. My dish was meant to include pork belly, which should be a fatty cut, but there was absolutely no fat to... View all feedback.
Delicious! Beautiful presentation and addictive flavors. I will be getting the fried mushrooms everytime!
The food here is simply delicious. It comforts you and leaves you happy. I have nothing but good things to say about this spot.bits a must try little gem tucked away behind an asain market.
Hidden at the back of an Asian market, this is truly a hidden gem in Stillwater. Only about 15 seats at a bar top and a 6 person table, this was quaint and an overall great experience. We had a group of 6 and went on a Saturday night around 6:30 and had to wait around an hour to be seated. Plenty of things to see walking around the shop though. The food was delicious. $12-$13 for most entrees, which is a good price considering the bowls are huge. This was a great experience!Dietary restrictions: Nut-free kitchen, Beef Pho is the only gluten free option but took every precaution for my friend who is gluten-free
Devoted was an unexpected find. Excellent atmosphere and service. The sawn tree bar was tasteful and reminiscent of rural Japanese sushi bars and ramen yas. The spicy shoyu ramen was spicy enough to clear your sinuses, but not so spicy that you couldn't taste the freshness of the ingredients. The broth was worth finishing. Gyoza and steamed dumplings were an excellent accompaniment to the meal.
Devoted has been on my radar for a hot minute, and when the weather turned rainy and cold, I knew it was time to seize the opportunity to see if it lived up to the hype.It did that and then some.Tucked away inside the Crepe Myrtle Asian Market, it would be easy to miss this, quite literally hidden gem.Once you've made it all the way back. You notice that the vibe and decor changes. They did a wonderful job remodeling the back space into a cozy restaurant (seats maybe 25).We got there at a good time, as there were only 4 groups ahead of us, and a line of 30+ people quickly formed behind us. We signed up on their paper sign-in sheet (important not to miss this step) and waited 20-30 minutes while chatting with people in line.Once inside, we tried the Takoyaki to start. Delicious.Since it was chilly and wet outside, I opted to try the Chili Shoyu Ramen. There are not many places that I'll rave about, but I've been raving about how out of this world good this ramen is.The broth is divine, and the texture of the noodles is perfect. Even though this version of the shoyu ramen is spicy, it isn't overwhelmingly so. Just enough to be enjoyable and open up the sinuses. My bowl was completely empty at the end. You better drink the broth. The service was friendly and checked on us often, and it's a wonder watching the well-oiled machine that is the 7-8 man team that is devoted.I will be back, and you should go if you have time to spare. Just be prepared, the tempting aromas will definitely stimulate your appetite during your wait!
