I highly recommend dining at Beak if you find yourself in Sitka! The food was outstanding, and the service and atmosphere were top-notch. I ordered the chowder and the Mac and cheese with added Salmon, which were both delicious. I also appreciate that instead of tipping, they pay their staff a fair wage. Overall, I give it a 5 out of 5 for food, service, and atmosphere. Recommended dishes include the Salmon Mac 'N Cheese and the Chowder. Lunch meals cost between $20 and $30 per person.
During my vacation, one restaurant really stood out to me! Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. The salmon cooked on a cedar plank was delicious! Their chowder was amazing as well. The service was top-notch. The restaurant itself was charming and cozy. If you're ever in Sitka, make sure not to miss this gem of a dining spot!
I want to thank our server for recommending the Malbec wine. I ordered a half portion of the kale salad, which was surprisingly delicious despite my usual feelings about kale. I also loved the Focaccia bread with roasted garlic and basil butter. I'm not sure how late they stay open after the tourists are gone, but we will definitely be returning. I give the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect score of 5.
Great food and affordable prices. They have great specials and the servers are all ready to give you detailed descriptions and opinions. I had their mac and cheese with salmon. Members of my family had their nachos, a slab of salmon, and tacos; everyone cleaned their plates and gave their compliments! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
