It's an ideal spot for visiting students at the university! I was delighted to be upgraded to an Executive Suite, which offered plenty of extra space. The breakfast was excellent, featuring a good selection of cooked options. Overall, it was a comfortable stay, and I would definitely return. Service rating: 4

We were a bit disappointed upon arrival, as the hotel is located in an old university hall surrounded by other student accommodations, which didn’t match our ex... read more We were a bit disappointed upon arrival, as the hotel is located in an old university hall surrounded by other student accommodations, which didn’t match our expectations for a luxurious boutique hotel. The rooms, originally student rooms, were quite small and the bed was low and far from luxurious. On the plus side, there were nice touches like a coffee machine and bathrobes, the breakfast was lovely, and the staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. I would recommend Halifax Hall for a work stopover or visiting university-aged children, but not for a romantic getaway. Service rating: 4.
