BBQ Smith serves authentic, no‑frills barbecue in Seattle, famed for tender brisket, fall‑off‑the‑bone ribs and a pronounced smoky ring. Dry‑rubbed meats, flavorful hot sauce and inventive Asian‑inspired sides (kimchi, miso collards) pair with cornbread, sweet tea and a constantly rotating craft‑beer list from the owner’s brewing connections. Dog‑friendly with a sunny patio and full bar, it’s quick, casual, and often sells out — go early.
Great ribs, slides off bone while still being firm and dry. Really good beer selection, including classic Shiner. Brisket is solid choice, but is still missing something I can't quite describe (so you should ignore me and just order it). Nice outdoor area. If you're lucky you can peek at the truck sized cooker in the shed.
This is likely the best classic barbecue I've had near Seattle. The smoked meat has an incredible smoke ring, and they serve a variety of options including ribs, brisket, hot links, and pulled pork, among others. The service is impressively quick. Be sure to arrive early to avoid disappointment, as they make everything fresh each day and may run out.
Absolutely delicious barbecue in Seattle! The staff is wonderful, and they have a fully stocked bar. There's a charming outdoor terrace, and our dog was warmly welcomed. They even brought out a large water bowl for our big pup when they noticed us using small cups. Highly recommend!
Brisket Plate and ribs plate (each with two sides) was a solid and filling meal. BBQ Smith has a great beer selection along with their awesome meats. Sides are good too Mac and cheese, collared greens, beans, and potato salad are great options. Stokedto go there when it heats up in the summer and make use of the patio!
Brisket and ribs were AMAZING. Had the 1st few bites without sauce and they've got a great smokey flavor. The hot barbecue sauce is delicious. Collared greens good too. Don't know what restaurant those one star reviews went to, but it wasn't this one.
