There was plenty of parking space available at the restaurant and the parking options were free in the parking lot. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience.
The importance of good service cannot be overstated when dining out. During our visit to this restaurant, we experienced a few shortcomings in this area. After ordering our food, we were informed that we would need to request additional plates from the waitress, as the servers rotated. Our meals were placed on the table without any inquiry about sauce or condiments, and we were not asked if we wanted more drinks. The server appeared disinterested and did not engage with us, despite the loud ambiance requiring elevated voices to communicate. Attention to detail and making guests feel valued are key aspects of hospitality. The cheese board lacked butter and plates, necessitating a request for these items. Upon finishing our meal, we were promptly asked to vacate the table, even though there were numerous vacant tables and no waiting customers. While the food was tasty, the portion sizes left something to be desired - receiving only half a carrot, half a parsnip, and three potatoes felt insufficient. The side vegetables consisted of kale and courgette, with no cauliflower or broccoli in sight.
Thoroughly enjoyed the food itself, but the whole experience was severely let down by the waitress! She had a horrific attitude, acted like she didn 't want to be there! Also, when my partner went to the bar to get us drinks (as he wanted to see what was on offer) the waitress came up to me and asked is he bored of you already? So rude! Honestly left me upset for the rest of the night
Had a great meal once again on New Year’s Eve. We both had cod for main and it was cooked to perfection and the mussels starter was perfect too. Excellent service as always. We stay at Griffin Forest so it’s great to have such a good restaurant just walking distance away. Will be returning again.
