Had our first F&C from this place this evening and were very happy with them. We've tried 3 or 4 other chippies in Redditch, including one very well publicised one across town, and these were the best by a country mile. Well cooked chips no soggy ones, no tiny crispy bits to break my old teeth, and a huge piece of fish. I think we will look no further.
Been here a few times over the last couple of months and I was pleasently surprised by how good the food and service was.
Food is generally good but I find the owner very arrogant, i was in there recently saw him arguing with a young lady about a fish order. When she had been previously been she had ordered a large fish was given a mini fish she complained straight away over the phone was offered a replacement the next time she visited, they even put a note in the till, when she tried to get her fish (along with other items) at a later visit the owner kicked up a big fuss about it, practically calling her a liar in front of a packed shop? After he found the note in the till he never really appologied he just was moaning he made the poor girl feel really embarrassed. The other younger staff are all lovely, I think he should work at the back in the kitchen preparing the chips not speaking to customers, he has a serious chip on his shoulder.
This must be the worst fish and chips I’ve ever had . Soggy Greasy batter with minimal fish . Chips were ok but greasy , scallops were all soggy batter , half full curry sauce and a half hour wait . What more could anybody ask for avoid
We have been consistently impressed with this fish and chip shop since moving to Redditch. Tonight, I tried the mixed kebab and chips, which I haven't had in a while, and it was better than ever. The shop was bustling with customers and numerous Deliveroo and Just Eat orders being prepared for takeout, highlighting its popularity among locals. We have also ordered directly from them for home delivery in the past, and found it to be both cheaper and quicker. I highly recommend this place.
