This chance choice of this restaurant was a pleasant and memorable experience. The waiter, Dominic, and waitress, Patricia, were more than helpful with guiding us through the meal and informing us about dinner selections. The restaurant is well located as we visited it on Dec 31st. For the night, the restaurant offered a 7 services menu. Unfortunately, the overall taste of many dishes were underwhelming. While they were very inventive and orignal, it just didn't hit the spot. Hats off though to the pétoncles crudo, which was fantastic. The service was also good. View all feedback.
My family(husband and 3 teen girls) and I went for Sunday brunch. The restaurant is on a corner and easy to find. It has two dining sections, outside seatings for couples, and a bar area. The decor is modern but cozy. The waitstaff were in good spirit, not overly friendly but not rude either. They all spoke English and French. We heard some singing in the kitchen:)We all ordered different brunch/breakfast and all enjoyed them. (Basic bkfst of eggs, sausage ham, toast, smoothie; eggs Benedict; eggs Benedict florentine; bagel plate; French toast). They all came with good coffee or standard juice. Each dish was presented simple and gourmet like and were tasteful. The bill was $100 including 5% Can tax and 10% Quebec tax. You pay at the counter, if by cc, as you leave while the waitstaff is watching you tip them. I would return for food and the ambience.
We didn't reserve in advance, still we were accepted VERY nicely (Friday night). Food- no usual, interesting, tasty and really good! Service- cool very responsive and nice! A great place to have dinner!
Went for dinner while visiting Quebec City, I noticed a lot of playing among the employees, but there is nothing wrong with that until you notice that this involved a lot of things that should not happen in a restaurant: dropping things, touching their hair, and then touching all the items needed at the table. The worst happened when we were seated, I was able to notice the activity in the kitchen. The cook will touch his face, put food in his mouth (this mean your fingers could have contact with saliva) and then seeing him touching people's food. This ruined my experience so much that I refused to eat at the place because this is one of the parts we enjoy the most when we travel, choosing high rated restaurants so we don't end up with disappointments. However this is one of the worst things I have seen in a restaurant. To me they deserve a zero. This is the 3rd review I've written in my whole life to show how much this affected me.
Excellent breakfast! The Eggs were so so good. The grilled bread with blueberry compote was the perfect pairing to a great morning meal. Window seating provided a pleasant view. Service was kind and efficient. Thank you!
The food was decent but in the end I was left wanting more. We had the soup of the day, toasted bread, burrata, and fish rillettes. The best was definitely the soup and the bread. The burrata was also quite good and the hazelnut was a nice combination to the cheese. The fish rillettes was like eating fancy canned tuna which I think you can skip. The main course was good.
