As my mother lived nearby, we were regular visitors to this hidden little pub. I recall playing pool there 20 years ago and eating there on many previous occasions. I was excited to visit the pub after its renovation, so we made a reservation for lunch on the 17th. I ordered the Sunday lunch, which was quite lacking in seasonal vegetables - only a small sprig of kale and a few roasted carrots and potatoes.
