As my mother lived nearby, we were regular visitors to this hidden little pub. I recall playing pool there 20 years ago and eating there on many previous occasions. Since then there has been plenty of work carried out and the pub has changed significantly. We last ate there about 6 years ago and it was a very average food experience. What Beverley B doesn't like about King William Iv:
I was excited to visit the pub after its renovation, so we made a reservation for lunch on the 17th. I ordered the Sunday lunch, which was quite lacking in seasonal vegetables - only a small sprig of kale and a few roasted carrots and potatoes. When I asked a member of staff about this, they said that's how it's served. I also wasn't offered any sauces with my meal. The staff didn't seem very distinguishable from the... View all feedback.
Got to the King william we were greeted by Shelly and Angel and they both looked after us through out our stay the food was excellent
I visited a lovely country pub where dogs are welcome with my family for Sunday lunch, and we were not disappointed. We had three roast chicken dinners and two roast beef dinners with all the trimmings. The dessert selection was excellent, including Blackberry and Apple Crumble, Eton Mess, and Chocolate Fudge Cake. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. We all had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday lunch.

The King William has rooms and is ideal for holiday makers as it is a 5 minutes drive to the airport. Visited January 2020.

I have been frequenting this restaurant for some time now, and I cannot find any faults with it or the staff. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, and Sam and the team will do everything they can to make you feel welcome. It's almost surprising how my drink is often ready before I even reach the bar, but it just goes to show how great the service is. It's especially nice in the summer to sit on the deck and enjoy the view of the fields. I highly recommend dining at the King William.
