Was David Wellons at Parson's Pub a mag?
The Irish pub fare at Parson's Pub is absolutely spot-on—bangers and mash, chicken pot pie, Reubens, and more, all executed perfectly. We came back for a second visit, which says a lot. Price per person: $10–20. Atmosphere: 5/5. View all feedback.
What Sydney Stelly dislikes about Parson's Pub:
What happened? We’ve eaten here before and liked the food, but our latest visit was disappointing. Our waitress seemed intoxicated, and the food was below par. My shepherd’s pie tasted more like chicken broth with ground beef. The dishes were served separately, which was frustrating. The music was pop, not fitting the pub vibe at all. Overall, I’d give the food, service, and atmosphere a rating of 2 each. View all feedback.
Shepards pie is awesome Price per person: $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Rueben Sandwich, Grilled Cheese, Shepherd's Pie
Neighborhood feel. Guinness on tap. Shepard's Pie was tasty. Corned beef cabbage savory. Our server, ?Candy?, was attentive and friendly. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes: Corn Beef and Cabbage, Shepherd's Pie
This is a great spot to have lunch. The Reubens were good. The French fries were crispy. The fish, in the fish n chips, didn't have the normal batter that most places have. The fish was good, but I didn't care for the coating too much. Cute pub and the server was great. No real complaints! I will go back! Parking: You have to park on the street, so you may not get to park right in front of the restaurant. Just FYI! Price per person: $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Fish and Chips Parking options: Free street parking
Wonderful atmosphere, great food, great people. Shepard's pie was wonderful, French onion soup and fowler pie were great also. I'm going back!
It's alright, but not exactly what we were expecting. Hearty portions are not, it'll come in a smallish bowl. Food is good, but not plentiful. No spirits at the bar and so-so service. We went well before the dinner rush, but it just wasn't that grand. There are other great local restaurants that we'll try before we make our way back to this one.
