Our dishes are inspired by authentic recipes from central Mexico, passed down through generations in our family. We source the freshest and most traditional ingredients, including corn husks, banana leaves, hominy, cactus, papaya, and pineapple. Our flavor profiles are elevated with spices like achiote, smoked chipotle peppers, chiltepin, and epazote, using techniques such as marinating, grilling, and steaming. Our diverse menu offers options for meat lovers, seafood enthusiasts, vegetarians, and those with gluten sensitivities. A standout on our menu is our house-made soy chorizo, a delicious alternative to the traditional Mexican chorizo that is vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free, and vegan-friendly. Experience the vibrant flavors of Mexico at our establishment!.
What User likes about Salsa A La Salsa Downtown (nicollet):
The restaurant was very busy, probably as a result of a volleyball tournament flooding it with big groups. So we waited about 20 minutes past our reservation time, and even when seated the staff was still trying to cope with the crowd. The food was good, and I would be willing to give them another shot to see if as I suspect the big crowds were responsible for the slow service. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Salsa A La Salsa Downtown (nicollet):
The food was not fresh; the chips tasted like they had been soaked in oil and left out for a few days. Everything had a slightly burnt flavor. Additionally, the service was very slow. View all feedback.
