Outstanding breads at a really great price point. Always have tasted very fresh. They have a style of a sort of more baked outer layer, that isn't hard, and just perfectly chewy. Not sure what that's called or a better way to describe it, but it's really great, and you should try them if you haven't. View all feedback.

We frequently visit BreadSmith, which is one of our favorite bakeries. We absolutely love their scones and breads - you can't go wrong with any of them!

Google mistakenly had their closing time an hour later but when I called the woman working still let me in to purchase two loaves. Incredibly nice considering she had no obligation. Fantastic service and great bread. UPDATE (4/9/2020): Still great service! They are still being amazing purveyors of bread, even through this COVID-19 pandemic. I especially appreciate the gentleman behind the counter (never caught his name). He has always been patient with me when I can't make a decision on the type of bread. If the owners are reading this, he deserves a raise!
Loved coming here ever since I was a kid. Great displays, classic shop look and feel. On Downer. Hard to beat!
I'm no expert baker but I know how to make ciabatta. Whatever they're selling is not ciabatta. Baguette was good
