I enjoyed my meal in the central Lord. I ordered the vegan burger. I've never had a reispatty, but it was interesting. the patty itself could have more taste, as I had gone near the end of the burger and toppings and sosse or perhaps tried to compensate the sose to the taste in the patty staff, were very friendly and more than ready to help. fantastic view and atmosphere. they even have a small children's corner with... The rest of the family had equally amazing food. And best of all my half vegetarian family were completely satisfied. Of you are going to Lorne eat at Lorne Central. Period.
We stopped in Lorne on our way back to Melbourne after a winters drive along the Great Ocean Road. Plenty of parking available, clean toilets, cosy setting, best carrot cake we have ever eaten and the log fire burning while we enjoyed afternoon coffee oh and a delicious warming irish coffee, cheers and huge thanks to very accomodating and friendly staff.
We ate here for breakfast twice as we couldn't get enough of the awesome menu and service. The cocktails by the fire in the afternoon and night were excellent too and again the service was exceptional. Special shout out to the manager/owner? who's customer service was excellent with many laughs and made our weekend. We can't wait to come back!
The restaurant now offers a delicious Beyond Burger instead of a rice patty burger. In addition to that, there are other vegan options such as a spicy potato and leek soup, Mexican and Asian poke bowls with tofu. The customer service and atmosphere were also excellent.
My experience at Lorne Central was enjoyable. I decided to try the vegan burger, which had a unique rice patty. While the patty itself lacked flavor towards the end of the burger, the toppings and sauce made up for it. The staff were friendly and attentive. The restaurant had a fantastic view and atmosphere, and even had a kids corner with chalk and a chalkboard. Also, the pickles were delicious.
