My man and I planned an overnight stay in longbeach especially for the attempt of chowders at chowder stop. we drove 3 hours down there and we were not disappointed! the texture, taste and spice of her chowder is absolutely on point. the staff offered a wonderful service and they were very friendly and attentive. we will check the chowder stop for every case! P.S her fish and chips are also amazing.
Was there yesterday. I love their Reuben’s. Also fish and chips are delish. I highly recommend the Chowder Stop. Hugh portions and anything you order will be good, not to mention the wonder staff. So friendly
I've eaten here more than once over the past few years and they never disappoint. Even during Covid the service is friendly and the food is great. We hope to retire here some day and plan on being regulars at this smaller sized restaurant. The chowder is one of the best in town and their other food isn't bad either. Stop and try this place you won't regret it.
Our group was hungry when we got to Long Beach and this place really hit the spot! We ordered the fish and chip, chowders and halibut sandwich. All three were delicious! You really can't go wrong. I like that they let you order half sweet potatoes and half regular fries if you can't decide between the two. The halibut was perfectly cooked, not over breaded, and the fish was nice and soft on the inside.
It has been a bit since we have visited Longbeach. Of course we go down on Labor Day weekend with everyone else. We were hungry and the restaurants on the main drag either couldn't sit our size group or the wait was long. Found the Chowder Shop one block off on Google Maps and 5 minutes later we were at our table. The waitress was very friendly, though a small seating area, it was a good environment. The food was delicious and well priced. BEST sweet potato fries EVER!!! Found a new spot when we venture that way.
