Nestled in a charming atmosphere, this restaurant offers a mix of Southern cuisine that evokes both delight and disappointment. While some dishes like the fried shrimp and homestyle sides received praise for their quality, others, such as the fried catfish and various po'boys, fell short in flavor and presentation. The excellent service and well-maintained surroundings added to the appeal, making for a positive dining experience overall. Many patrons expressed a desire to return, particularly for specific favorites like shrimp tacos and desserts. While some items may leave diners craving more, the restaurant has potential for a satisfying meal.
The service was excellent, and we had a great time during our visit. However, I wouldn't recommend the catfish—it was quite fishy and undercooked. The crab cakes we ordered as an appetizer were also overpriced for what we received.
The service was excellent and the food was delicious and served hot. We go to Lil Ray's roughly once a month and rarely encounter any problems. The prices are reasonable considering the portion sizes.
We went to Lil' Ray's Restaurant and the food was good! The service was a little slow, but the food made it worth it. Would recommend the shrimp tacos, seafood gumbo, and crabby jack poboy.
Food was really good. Atmosphere was good. Wait staff was busy talking trash about their working conditions. A bit unprofessional if you ask my opinion.
We went in with neighbors and had lunch while we were driving around for the Jeepin the Coast festivities.
