Probably the best restaurant in Lausanne. Very nice small menu, and everything ist really special (though simple) and delicious.
This place is fun to go to once or maybe twice, and interesting to sit up at the chef’s table at the back to see right into the open-plan kitchen. How it has a Michelin star is a mystery, though. The food is perfectly good, nicely presented, and tasty, but has nothing of the joie de vivre that should accompany it to transport the taster up to the level of eye-rolling, finger-kissing bliss. They have a good, extensive wine list, though for those used to drinking in France it seems ruinously expensive. The cheaper wines are adequate rather than exciting. The service is courteous and efficient. The atmosphere is comfortable, although the ambience is lacking in that we took away with us the feeling that slick and efficient though this is (born out by observing the cooks in the kitchen who could just as well be surgeons in an operating theatre) it lacks any warmth or love of good food that an establishment purporting to be at the Michelin starred level should offer.
Fantastic restaurant, and I highly recommend it. The service of the staff was excellent. I had her meat tars and pasta for lunch. Very well prepared. You can see that the cooks prepare food through a transparent glass. The selection of wines proposed by the staff also went very well. After all, her cheese plate was excellent. I'd definitely come back.
