The restaurant about 1/8 of a mile up the lake refused us service because we were not guest of their lodge, so we drove to this other lodge, which has the exact same view, but actual friendly service. Great location on Lake Placid. Our group was split between the Kobe burger and the Cedar Plank Salmon. The burgers were enjoyed the salmon was unfortunately overlooked and neither was finished. The J1 staff is trying to be helpful but not quite up to the rhythm needed to feel attended to at the table. View all feedback.
