A recent visit to QuickChek revealed a mix of experiences ranging from disappointing service at the gas station to commendable customer care in the restaurant section. While some staff members were deemed unprofessional with poor hygiene practices, others notably excelled in customer support, enhancing guests’ dining experiences. The children's menu received praise, and the attentiveness of employees like Janice and Kim did not go unnoticed. However, issues like inadequate parking during busy times and staff reluctance to assist certain customers marred the overall impression.
Don't go to Quick Chek in Lafayette, NJ. I just went without a mask and a copy of the executive order. I was immediately approached by a clerk who told me to put on a mask. When I told her that I can't wear one for medical reasons, she said I have to wear one anyway. I asked her to get in touch with the store manager, not the manager on duty. She refused and directed me to the assistant manager who said the same thing. I pointed out that the EO says a store can refuse service for someone not wearing a mask for non-medical reasons but that my reason is medical. She said they could bring an order or to me. I said fine and let me tell you what I want. She said I can only place an order through the app on my phone and select a time to pick it up. I pointed out that I'm here right now and don't have my phone on me. She insisted that was the only way I'd be served. I let her know that I would be sharing this information of their discriminatory practice and blast social media with this. They said they are fine with that.
Gas attendants are super friendly and helpful. Parking is not good during high traffic times. But they are a big QuickChek with lots of selection. This is the ONLY QuickChek in a 15 mile radius that gets my deli order correct!
I came here 1/18/22 around 8:30 pm to get gas. As I pull up, the guy in the booth refused to pump my gas because he was tired, Which is totally illegal to pump your own gas in NJ!! And he refused to pump other peoples gas too. The lady next to me didn?teven know how to pump her own gas. Totally unprofessional.
Unfriendly Place. If you decide to order a sandwich make sure you get a receipt. They didn't give me my sandwich. Cause they couldn't go back into the system to show it was paid... Never had this problem before. But im also out 7.50. Not a big deal butdisappointed..
I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant due to the extremely rude staff, who seem to find any excuse to justify their own shortcomings. For instance, the men's restroom was lacking soap—one dispenser had been broken for over a week, and the other was completely empty. When I inquired about it, I was told that someone was supposed to come and fix it. However, when the staff member behind the counter realized I wasn't leaving until I could wash my hands, he grudgingly replaced the soap bag. Upon inspecting the "broken" dispenser, he discovered that the full bag had simply been inserted incorrectly—it wasn't broken after all. These issues persisted despite the fact that someone had signed off on hourly bathroom inspections. It's hard to believe that their male staff, including gas attendants and cashiers, were practicing proper sanitation under those conditions. Both the state of the facilities and the staff's justifications for their incompetence are completely unacceptable.
