To all of our dear friends, old and new, Roberto's opened its doors in 1987, and from 1988 to 2002, our beloved Giovanni Cipressi dedicated his heart and soul to this special place. For over 22 years, we have had the privilege of running Roberto's, watching many of you grow into remarkable adults since your first visits as toddlers and even newborns. Being part of this wonderful community has been a true blessing, and we have made countless cherished friendships along the way—many of you know who you are. It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closing of Roberto's. This decision was not made lightly; it marks the end of an incredible journey filled with joy, excitement, challenges, and valuable lessons learned. We take immense pride in what we have achieved as a team, driven by passion and hard work. We are eternally grateful to each member of our team for every moment shared. To you, our loyal patrons, thank you. Your belief and trust in us over these years have propelled us forward and shaped our every endeavor. We are deeply thankful for your steadfast friendship and support, as they have been the cornerstone of our success. It has been an incredible honor to serve you these past 22 years. The food was fantastic and the service was top-notch. The chef even came out to personally serve our meals. The front of house staff were also excellent and went above and beyond. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant.
Visited Robertos last night, the food was absolutely delicious.the staff were very friendly and attentive and was really nice to chat to the chef/owners. We were seated to our table and our drinks/food order was taken promptly. We had asked if we could have a short break between the starter and the main which was fully accommodated. We will definitely visit again as found the whole experience very enjoyable.
Probably one of the worst meals I have experienced every thing was shocking customer service food everything was poor can’t believe people actually go to this place won’t be going again. Payed over £9 for a prawn cocktail witch contained 4 prawns and some warm lettuce useless.
One of the best Italian restaurants there is and I've been to a few. This place is all about the food, no gimmicks, no designer decor, no snobiness. Just honest to god amazing Italian food.
Absolutely disgusting service and food. We were left for an hour at the bar and when we were asked to be seated the waitress said, “oh sorry I thought you were chatting” we knew this was a lie and when we made a complaint the chef came out to apologise because it was his fault. There was only “one chef” in the kitchen. This was also a lie. The chef showed us pictures of the ceiling collapsing from the bad rain from the night before. Surly they should have shut the kitchen!!! They gave us complimentary glasses of wine which then accumulated fruit flies in them!! My food was mediocre and my friend’s muscles was uncooked and had to be spat out. The manager did not give us anything complimentary/take anything off the bill for this horrible service and food. DO NOT EAT HERE.
