Shelby at the front desk did not say please or thank you once we paid our bill, which was quite disappointing considering the amount we spent. The restaurant's atmosphere was lacking. We used a voucher we received from our wedding for a three-course meal with wine. The service was friendly and efficient. Our starters of garlic mushrooms and Stilton and broccoli soup were delicious. For the main course, we both chose the beef with a tasty red wine gravy. We requested a break before dessert and were pleasantly surprised with a selection of cheese and biscuits as well as New York cheesecake. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and I would definitely consider coming back for either an evening meal, which would have cost £35 per person for three courses, or for Sunday lunch.

This restaurant was a disappointment compared to previous years. The bratkartoffeln were lukewarm and I have had better Christmas meals at work canteens/restaurants. The Christmas man came out and gave everyone chocolate, but managed to miss someone at our table. Overall, it was not worth the money for a Christmas outing.
