Was Anonym at Turntable a mag?
I ordered the fish platter, featuring a pot of steaming mussels and cockles alongside two generous pieces of fish—it was absolutely delicious. Another person in our group chose the rigatoni with chicken and mushrooms and loved it just as much. Others went for the burgers, which also earned glowing praise. What Anonym dislikes about Turntable:
First of all, the service was excellent. I ordered the fish and chips, which cost €17 and felt a bit overpriced. The batter was too crispy and kept falling off, though the fish itself was good. My husband chose the steak, but it had quite a bit of gristle and was overly salty. Considering the price, it came without any salad or vegetables. Overall, the meal was mediocre. View all feedback.
Passing through Killybegs one evening, we called in to Tara Hotel restaurant for an evening meal. The staff were excellent , the premises were recently revamped to a high standard. The food was excellent with large portions and we would certainly recommend this venue.
I recently visited my cousin Mary Flaherty in Killybegs and stayed for a few nights. One evening, I dined at Turntable, and it was an amazing experience. The staff, including the manager Yvonne, were excellent. Jonny, a young man with a great sense of humor, made the evening even more enjoyable, and Deborah, a young woman who caught my eye, was very charming. They served one of my favorite dishes—monkfish and prawns—which was absolutely delicious. I’m already excited for my visit next July!
I absolutely love Turntable; it consistently impresses and seems to improve year after year. During my recent visit to Killybegs, I had the pleasure of dining there four out of five nights. The menu offered excellent quality dishes with a great variety at reasonable prices. The stunning view of the Atlantic added to the experience. It was wonderful catching up with Yvonne and Deborah, who are not only fun but also provide friendly and efficient service. One sunny day, my friend Mary and I wanted to enjoy a glass of wine and a sandwich outside, but Christine informed us the outdoor area was being cleaned. To our delight, she quickly arranged a small table and chairs on a balcony with a fantastic view so we could enjoy our lunch. I was truly impressed by this exceptional level of service. Killybegs is already a charming town, and Turntable at the Tara is the perfect finishing touch.
We had a fantastic evening at Turntable, a delightful restaurant featuring roomy seating perfect for big families. We enjoyed the prawns and monkfish, served with a side salad, and both were delicious and fulfilling. Parking was a bit tricky around 7 PM, so I had to park a little farther away. The restaurant also offers a stunning view.
I had yet another fantastic experience at Turntable, the lovely restaurant boasting breathtaking views of the Atlantic. The menu was outstanding, and the service, particularly from Deborah, was exceptional. I can’t wait to return to Killybegs in July with Mary. Every restaurant is fortunate to have someone like her on their team! Annie x
