The food at this restaurant is excellent, with Linda and Philip adding a personal touch. They are only open during the summer and close at 3 p.m. The menu is limited but everything is of high quality. The restaurant is small but well-decorated. View all feedback.
We stayed in Rose Wood Manor B&B along Orcan Drive and the breakfasts were served at the cafe. The breakfast sandwiches were gorgeous and set us up well for the day.
We were lucky to spend a night in one of the lovely guest rooms upstairs and enjoy a delicious breakfast sandwich and coffee. Phillip and Linda are great hosts, the view is wonderful especially from the large outdoor patio. A better than anticipated stay and it is always a treat when this happens.
The food and choice was excellent. The food was healthy and coffee or tea always available. The café was beautifully clean and the owners had taken trouble to support local artists and book sellers by displaying their work. A place well worth visiting if one is in Placentia.
If you're tired of eating the same old fried chicken or fish, this hidden gem is the perfect escape from the ordinary.
D'abord, cet endroit est vraiment intéressant : lumineux à souhait, on peut y lire et acheter de livres écrits dans la région ou des photos à encâdrer. Les repas sont très biens et les portions raisonnables. La quiche à la pâte de patate (plutôt qu'une pâte feuilletée) était savoureuse ainsi que le sandwich aux oeufs. Le café est simplement exquis. J'ai également dîner chez Phil et j'ai pris le chili végétarien qui était délicieux. Le mieux de tout c'est Phil lui-même, une homme drôle qui vaut la peine de connaître.
