At Slaley Hall, the dining experience offers both delightful moments and significant frustrations. Many patrons praise the attentive service, highlighting friendly waitstaff and a warm atmosphere during afternoon tea. However, consistent themes of slow service, cold dishes, and inattentive management mar the experience. Dishes often arrive inconsistently prepared, with complaints about portion sizes and food quality persisting. While some enjoyed a delicious meal, others left disappointed, suggesting more effort is needed in kitchen operations and staff training. Despite its enchanting setting, the restaurant struggles to meet expectations, leaving some to wonder if local alternatives might offer better value.

What User dislikes about Slaley Hall:
I bought the gentlemans teegutschein as a vatertag gift. he really was looking forward to the menu I shared with him, but he was told that the menu was stopped a year ago because of kovid. I bought for this place when I knew he would love the bark and that lamb. in fairness they were very apologetic and gave a beautiful bottle prosecco, but I would rather know in advance. In the afternoon tee waitress really friendly sandwiches and pot tee fresh and tasty the scones dry, but warming helped the cake were not advertised what again ok, but what we were stale and dry explain this at the time, but the waitress said only that they would tell the chef definitiw not the money worth
The service at this restaurant is extremely slow, with polite but inexperienced staff. We had to request steak knives and pour our own wine. The restaurant is in need of modernization as it appears quite dated. Additionally, the coffee machines were broken during breakfast service.
The food was delicious and high quality. The restaurant was very busy due to half-term, so our food and drinks took a while to arrive. A waiter accidentally cleared my friend's wine glass too soon, but the issue was quickly resolved and my friend was offered a fresh glass without any trouble. I would definitely return to this restaurant as I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The staff were all friendly, welcoming, and very polite.
