This place surpassed my expectations. first, it is a beautiful room. dog-friendly also. we ate from the a la carte menu (picture.) I had to start the soft bowl collar and the oktopus as main. I have rarely seen softly peeled crab on a menu in Britain, when I have seen it has been bad, so I have ordered more in the hope than expected. it was great. crispy, sweet and juicy. the accompanying green salad was a great guide. the main octopus court was incredibly tender, according to my opinion, they should not interfere with the king Prawn-Squid, as it distracts from the sheer quality of the cooking taste of the oktopus. we shared a dessert of almond-Marmalade cake with mandelbiscuits eis. I'm not a big dessert fan as I don't have a sweet tooth, but that was good. I would have chosen a cheeseboard of local yorkshire lancashire cheese if that had been an option. I just moved into this one, I'm gonna eat again.
Only good food and ambiente. I've always eaten here at lunchtime when I visit. the restaurant was renovated last year by a television show. we shared a vegetarian mezze and a karaffe merlot following a prosecco. we had a series of tasty things we enjoyed very much. they will close after Christmas. we look forward to returning to the not too distant future.
We were seated in a corner on the ground floor, possibly due to the busy atmosphere. The noise level in the restaurant was quite high, making it feel crowded and uncomfortable with limited space between tables. The staff had a hidden dog that they let out when the restaurant quieted down, which made me nervous due to a past bad experience with dogs. The food was overall very good, although the meatballs were slightly hard. Unfortunately, two dishes we wanted were not available, which was disappointing. Additionally, parking was difficult and we don't plan on returning anytime soon.

Bright, friendly and efficient service. The belly of pork was cooked to perfection (body tender and well seasoned, crackling removed to ultimate crisp) and enough to feed 4. I wish I'd had room for delicious sounding desserts. The S African red was decent it would have been good to have one more wine by the glass.
