We renovated Brookmans in 2011, and recently reopened with luxurious decor and a modern bar and restaurant. We have become a popular spot in the local area, especially around the island bar where we offer delicious coffee, quality beer, and chilled champagne. Whether you prefer to sit at the bar for people-watching or at a table in our garden room overlooking the terrace, our warm and inviting eatery is the perfect place to relax. Our deep teal walls, mustard yellow accents, and twinkling chandeliers create a cozy atmosphere, complemented by historic posters from the Metroland era. We had an appalling Xmas dinner at BROOKMANS. We had some family over from Spain and it was embarrassing. Three pieces of Turkey brown meat two burnt chipolatas, vegetable mush and covered with gravy trying to hide the mess underneath. We ordered 4 of these meals! The starter was a fish cake which looked like it had been thrown on the plate. Cheap meat. This restaurant is a disgrace and I would highly recommend you don’t go there.
Really nice restaurant. Decor is lovely and the food was very good. The staff were all friendly and lunch was enjoyable.
Confirmation number: 83523 Booked 6pm for my girlfriends birthday, even got a reminder email the day before which was cool. Arrived 5.55 was seated and then we must have turned invisible. 3/4 tables of guests in the restaurant,. Counted 8 staff (1 girl at the bar making drinks since we arrived so can’t blame her- I said goodbye to her as we left) 20 minutes is too long to wait to be asked if we want a drink, overall a disappointing experience to a place I haven’t been to for 2/3 years, I’ve had good food before here but didn’t get to taste it this time. I didn’t feel right spending my money there as the service was so disappointing.
There was a lot of noise from the serving area to the side of the restaurant. Although it is screened ofc the noise comes across.
Lots of choice and a good specials board. Nice staff and a lovely setting
