Incredible pub, always consistently great, never had any complaints. The food is excellent, the fish and chips is great, and the selection of alcohol is exquisite. Highly recommended you try.
The staff is fantastic! The atmosphere is relaxed and perfect for enjoying drinks in the garden with a big group.
My friend and I had a lovely meal and drinks here. Our hosts, Dane and Allan, were so hospitable. They served us a tasty meal of traditional beef and ale pie, mash, and cabbage, even though the kitchen had just closed for the night. They chatted with us and made us feel welcome. It was a lovely end to a day of sightseeing for 2 very tired ladies! Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
This was my first time at this pub, one of the few in central that does a pub quiz on Wednesday! I booked for a work social and the team were very accommodating, happy to take a large group, the food was really delicious and came out in good time. The staff are lovely, so helpful, and the quiz was so good!! The whole team came away very happy! The prices were also really good for the set menu Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
