Recommended by the information centre when we asked for a country pub experience .We were not disappointed , great food and atmosphere with a log fire on a chilly winter evening . we came back next morning for breakfast , also very nice , noticed there was also a great selection of lovely home made cakes if you just wanted morning or afternoon tea . We read the reviews on this and were staying in the hotel so decided to have dinner there. One meal was the pork medallions with creamy sauce and a side of vegetables....the pork was a bit overcooked and chewy but the sauce was nice. The veg were basic and the carrots overcooked.
