If the que out the door on a hot summers night doesn't convince you, then perhaps the warm nutella fountain in the front might. Gelato made on the premises, small tables and chairs around which to share your good fortune Pidapipo has the best gelato in Windsor and perhaps even Australia.
After discovering this place whilst on holidays in December, I made a special trip to visit again the very next time I was in town. It is the best gelato I have found outside of Italy itself, and trust me, I have tried many. ;-)
My girls had heard about this place on the radio, so had to go there. It's a small unassuming shop in Chapel St, which from the outside just serves gelato. However, when you're in there, the staff's question is always "do you want Nutella". They have a tap to the side of the gelato tubs which has a constant stream of molten Nutella coming out of it. If you want Nutella with whatever gelato you get, they dig a little "well" into it and fill the "well" with Nutella. Good times.
It was a beautiful Saturday night when we came for ice cream, the queue were out the door but moving quickly. This was my first time so I was looking forward to it!<br/ <br/ Wow wow wow! What can I say? This is Hands down the BEST ice cream I have tasted! The pistachio and Nutella mix was heavenly and I could have had bucketloads more!!!<br/ <br/ So I would have given this place 5 stars IF the staff didn’t have an attitude problem!!! Yes I am talking about you Italian girl serving your customers that Sat night! You were rude serving me, and you talk about me to the other staff in Italian. I would have ignored it if the others didn’t point our your rudeness to me afterwards too!
