As McKinnon locals, we LOVE Mr Burch and Son of a Burch for its consistently good coffee and friendly service. The food is always delicious and the specials menu always has some interesting options to keep the menu enticing for those of us who visit regularly. And according to my kids, they make the best babycinos around. View all feedback.
What Madisyn Barrows dislikes about Mr Burch:
please do not apply this facility. I had an abnormally disturbing experience here, where the kitchen for unknown reasons carved a ridiculously hot chilli into the shape of a flower and placed on the top of my meal. I thought it was capsicum, I ate, and I was in anxious pain, visibly crying, for the rest of my time here. when I told the waiter his answer: yes, it's like a woman, quite but painful. absolutely disgustin... A local favourite. Always welcomed with a smile the staff are eager to help you decide whether a quick snack or a meal. Whilst I often choose a regular fave, it’s nice to consider other things on the menu. Breakfast or Brunch is always a popular choice. Coffee is great and prompt, whether it be Take away or sit in... not too noisy but a welcome hideaway is the upstairs which is a little more ‘out of public view’ if you like that. Been back many times. Will do it again. Today I had Mexican while guest has Corn Fritters. Looked too good to eat ... Apparently tasted better than it looked.
I visited this restaurant on Sunday for brunch and was greeted by friendly staff. The upstairs room is cozy and inviting. Make sure to say hello to Mr. Burch when you go up. The coffee is delicious and be sure to try their tasty Portuguese tart.

Very friendly service, great coffee and the tastiest and prettiest cakes out. The most busiest cafe on the Mckinnon rd strip..... will definitely be back.
Lovely brunch on cup day. Despite being very busy the food came out quickly and was delicious. Really appreciate when a cafe goes the extra mile. Small dish of seasoned pepitas while waiting. Delicious sauces offered with meals. The baguette was the real deal. Crispy and chewy. Told fashioned tea cups made the tea taste even better lol. Very impressed. We'll be back.
