Great fine dining experience. Easy parking on the site street off road and service is very attentive. Every dish served display the effort of creativity and dediction to the max. Goat cheese birthday cake is very special, now off the menu, but getting it as part of a friend celebration. Highlight for me was the cawanmushi. Total price was $400 for two including a bottle of wine. Food was interesting, and interpretative but we felt that they tried way too much with the contrasting of flavours. Not worth the $400. View all feedback.
What a gem. Just finished one of the best meals ever. Great service and the menu was an absolute treat. Could not fault one dish and the meal seemed to get better with each dish served. Who would have thought crispy potato skin and potato ice cream could taste so good. Every dish was a winner. Thank you for a wonderful experience. All the staff were exceptional. Hope to be back soon.
The absolute best dining experience in Melbourne. Every dish was sensational, so innovative and different. It was also a treat to have the chef's serve the dishes, particularly Clinton McIver. I couldn't recommend Amaru highly enough.
First class food presentation, execution and delivery paired with outstanding floor service, small wine list but well paired with the experience in a classy open kitchen dining setting. If you can, ask to be seated at the chef's table for a chance to meet the team in the kitchen. Cannot recommend this highly enough.
A fantastic night with fantastic food I sat up at the chefs counter where the chefs themselves delivered my food and some of the wines. The sensory menu was great from start to finish and the wine pairings were also great!
