The East Midlands' first 100% Gluten-Free Bakery and Café/Tearoom, offering a variety of dairy-free, egg-free, and low sugar options. Family-run since February 2015, we are currently providing a collection-only service. Orders can be placed on our website between Friday and Monday for collection the following Friday or Saturday. This charming tearoom is a haven for those with dietary restrictions, offering a fantastic selection of gluten-free options including cakes, bread, and full meals. The friendly staff provide excellent service and ensure that all customers are well taken care of. The food is delicious, with highlights such as scones, fruit cakes, and risotto. A wide variety of vegan and gluten-free items are available for purchase, including fresh bread at reasonable prices. Whether you have dietary restrictions or not, this tearoom is highly recommended for a warm welcome and delicious food. A perfect spot for a delightful meal or afternoon tea experience.
I had a lovely wheat free lunch and dessert with a friend of mine prior to the lockdown, what lovely staff and food, made us feel very welcome and looked after us well. We will definitely be returning once it is reopened following the Pandemic and government guidelines.
This was our second visit to the tearoom. The cakes are delicious and they have a great selection of gluten free food. I stocked up on gluten free naan breads while I was there which really are the best I’ve ever had. The owners are so lovely and friendly. We arrived close to closing time and they let us sit and have a coffee as we’d had a long journey. They didn’t rush us out and we had a great chat with them. Thank you both. I wish this place was closer to where I lived!
We booked afternoon tea here on Thursday afternoon. Staff were very friendly and made sure we had what we needed and checked to see if we needed our teapot topping up. The food was lovely and plentiful. We had quiche, salad, sandwiches, a few crisps and a selection of mini cakes. We then had scones which are probably the best scones I’ve ever had. I will definitely go again and can’t wait to visit again. It’s not often you find a place that is fantastic and offers such a warm welcome. Highly recommend!
There is a wide variety of options on the menu for vegans, those with gluten intolerance, and non-specific dietary needs. The food was delicious, and the restaurant also offers a fantastic selection of items for purchase, including fresh gluten-free bread. We purchased a variety of these items and found them to be reasonably priced. Additionally, there are delicious fresh cakes to choose from.
Clare created a beautiful gluten-free cake for my mother's 80th birthday, decorated with a variety of spring flowers on the top and sides. The cake received many compliments for its appearance. I opted for a fruit cake, which was moist, filled with fruit, and had just the right amount of sweetness.
