Nestled high above the bustling city, Six Restaurant offers a blend of premium dining and breathtaking views of the River Tyne. The food was outstanding, the service was top-notch, and the views were breathtaking. We opted for the Six tasting menu at the chef's table. The presentation of the food and the attention to detail were truly impressive.
We were excited to visit the restaurant after it underwent renovations and try the new tasting menu. The atmosphere of the restaurant felt cozy, although I believe the plants could have been arranged more thoughtfully. The tasting menu was outstanding and they were very accommodating to my food allergy. It was my birthday and they were kind enough to make a special celebration, which was truly lovely.
We tried the tasting menu at this restaurant and it was incredible. I couldn't recommend it highly enough. The service was exceptional and the food was top-notch. We used a voucher from Christmas and found the wine to be reasonably priced.
Eaten here several times over the past few years with my wife and its never let us down. Best location in newcastle in my opinion with the stunning views across the city, if your lucky enough to get a window seat on a nice evening overlooking the river you get to witness the bridge lighting up as the light fades which is always a beautiful sight. Unrivalled by any other restaurant in Newcastle really. Atmosphere is always good, a nice buzz. Staff always very attentive and the food is always divine.We were initially very hesitant about visiting the place several years ago as we thought it may be a bit too pretentious and not very welcoming, how wrong we were and so glad we tried it now. Only very minor down point is that our last visit we ended up having to leave to try somewhere else purely because the seasonal menu didn't have anything we fancied on it, not really a bad reflection on the restaurant at all, more so our tastebuds at the time and lack of preparation in looking at the menu before visiting. We will definitely be trying again very soon, I think we just tend to prefer the spring/summer menu's for the food selection. But I would still highly recommend it a visit any time of the year.
I would just like to say a massive thank you to the management and staff at the six restaurant for making our anniversary celebration the best yet. The staff were great and pleasant made our night extra special. The food was amazing couldn't have asked for more I would defiantly recommend this restaurant to anyone who fancies a touch of class while being delivered amazing food with helpful staff. Thank you six for an excellent night big round of aplause to the management and chefs.
