We ordered so much food from this place and although we've been here once before (years ago) a lot has changed. Last visit, i loved the baked beans this time i didn't enjoy them at all. The food at this restaurant is absolutely delicious. I particularly enjoy their variety of wings, mac and cheese, corn bread, and 2 meat combo. Every dish is expertly prepared and seasoned to perfection.
The collard greens were overly salty and lacked any real flavor. I would suggest skipping them, especially if you are familiar with Southern greens. The mac and cheese was dry and the pasta was overcooked, resulting in a semi-mushy consistency. The ribs were also lacking in flavor. I would not recommend this place for anything resembling BBQ. Save yourself the disappointment and expense.
The portion of chicken was extremely small for $39. It was one small quarter piece.
This restaurant is Black-owned and serves incredible food. The dishes are full of flavor, generously portioned, and made with love.
