Feedback
The Old Firehouse in Exeter has long been celebrated for its generous portions and diverse menu, particularly its delicious vegan pizzas and lively atmosphere. Patrons often rave about the cozy, nostalgic ambiance and memorable live music. However, recent visits have revealed a decline in service quality, with reports of rude staff and incorrect orders, leaving some customers disheartened. While the offerings include an impressive range of vegan options and hearty meals, inconsistencies in service and rising prices have impacted the overall experience. Guests hope these issues are addressed to restore its former charm and appeal.
The old firehouse is a cozy “Profi Pub” next to the main railway station in exeter. lunch options are plentiful for sweet and vegan and serving are very generous and affordable. I had the vegan moussaka and would highly recommend it! the dinner menu is just pizza and I hope to make it again to try it soon. add: also have vegan sunday roasting and it is amazing. Courgette/Aubergine/Tomaten-Wellington and a huge series of “Profi”-Veg, nicely cooked. they also had a vegan pud (cheesecake) but unfortunately I had not been able to fit it! updated by the previous review on 2019-08-25
This was always a favorite when I was at university and we visited again during a trip. we shared a vegan half pizza. one side was the vegan classic and the other vegan grill. both were delicious and it was a good value for money, as the pizzas are huge. they also make a great selection of zider.
Many vegan options for pizzas that are delicious (vegan bbq is my fave.) great value for money, pizzas range from about £9-13 and easy to feed two either share or ask for something tin foil to take home their rest! the vegan sunday roast is also a great catterkur! only negatiw are that it is a popular place and quite busy and loud, and it is often very hard to find a table!
This is the best spot in the city for a late-night drink! They offer live music regularly, along with the famous Quiz-Woo hosted by the legendary Terry and Jude. You won't want to miss it!
