Cowick Barton, a charming restaurant with a pleasant ambiance, left diners with mixed feelings. Despite the lovely setting and delicious food, some experienced rigidity from the staff that dampened their dining experience. However, the opportunity to celebrate a birthday was well-managed with great customer service. The homemade soup and main courses received high praise, along with accommodating a large group efficiently. The lack of traditional real ale was a disappointment, but the American style craft ale provided a decent alternative. Overall, Cowick Barton shines in food quality and atmosphere, but may benefit from improvements in staff flexibility and service.

was absolutely perfect, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The vegetables were cooked to perfection and the gravy was rich and flavorful.
