Located just a short walk from Haymarket train station, First Coast is a charming, independent restaurant with a strong local reputation. For the past 11 years, we have been serving top quality modern Scottish cuisine at affordable prices. Our menu, inspired by a small village in Wester Ross, offers a variety of options including fresh daily fish, delicious vegetarian dishes, high-quality Aberdeen Angus steak from J Gilmour butchers, and our own homemade haggis.

I'm here last lunch with colleagues. despite its middle Christmas party season, the service was very good and the staff nice and friendly. my food was excellent and everyone else had the same opinion about his own dishes. I had the rindergyro to start and pork baked with polnta, erbsenapfel and parmesan as my main. my chief took the bill and made my visit even better. I have to go back with my friend. Question.
A gem. Been to First Coast on a number of occasions, service, food, atmosphere where all excellent. They do a delicious steak, moist and tasty and fantastic puddings. Been with just my wife and with a table for ten, service still outstanding. Would recommend.
I originally visited First Coast to see a young man who was on a placement from the college where I used to work, shortly after it opened. The owners were very accommodating towards him, and I hope they're still running the place. The food was excellent back then, and it continues to be. Although I hadn't been there for a while, I found that the quality remains top-notch. I'm still thinking about the delicious lemon posset and raspberries!

The food is absolutely outstanding, with the chefs brilliantly showcasing fresh Scottish ingredients in every single dish – it's both sophisticated and incredibly delicious. What makes the place even better is the exceptional service the staff are super friendly and accommodating. The vibe is cozy and perfect for a great night out, though honestly, the music could be a bit more in sync with the relaxed atmosphere. Great food. Had the scallops and fried squid to start and the steak and seafood pasta for mains. Delicious and the scallops were perfectly cooked. Fantastic service as well Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
