Located within the Premier Inn, Thyme Restaurant offers guests a convenient dining option with an extensive menu. While many diners appreciated the friendly service and good prices, opinions on the food quality were divided. Some praised dishes like the ribeye steak and veggie lasagne, describing them as delicious, fresh, and well-prepared. However, there were notable complaints about overcooked items, long waits for service, and inaccuracies in portion sizes. Despite the inconsistency, a number of guests expressed a willingness to return, particularly for the breakfast and the restaurant's inviting atmosphere. I stay here regularly and normally don't complain but tonight my starter took 40 mins to arrive and the mains took another 40 mins on top. One person in the kitchen was the response when I queried, which is not the customer fault. I don't like eating too late and it made me feel ill. The food was a bit overcooked when it arrived. The waiters did their best but could have apologised more to the waiting diners who clearly all felt the same.
Stayed at Premier Inn again, and had evening meal, and breakfasts in the Thyme restaurant. Must say the friendly and helpful staff are a credit to you. Think overall the food was very nice, plenty of it, tasty and served hot, on hot plates, and the range of food for breakfast amazing for the price. Only slight let down was the sausage this morning, different, and not as tasty as yesterdays? But it won't put us off from returning.
Visited the Thyme Restaurant while staying at the Premier Inn Crawley Town West. The food and staff, were once again excellent. The menu is varied and the ambience very good, very good value, especially if booked as part of the hotel's meal deal package.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the restaurant, considering it is located in a Premier Inn. Chef Nick seemed very busy but still managed to chat with us while cooking and serving meals. I ordered the BBQ burger which was delicious and the fries were fantastic. My girlfriend enjoyed her mozzarella salad, although she felt there were too many cherry tomatoes. If you are staying at this hotel, I would recommend dining in as the menu selection is not extensive but everything is cooked to a high standard.
We have been staying at the hotel for four days now. This is our second day eating at the restaurant. Unfortunately, the first day we tried the burger and it was extremely dry with no flavor. On the second day, we ordered the ribeye steak, but it came out very dry and was missing the sauce and butter that was listed on the menu. The food could potentially be good if it was not so overcooked.
